...is
made up of several
steps. You will complete some of the steps, and I will complete others.
Working together, we will design your webpage. With your input, it will
reflect your ideas and include the information you want to provide to
the
world at a price you can afford.
There
are two
things you need before we start -
internet access
(strongly
recommended)
web space to
store
your completed
site
Many
ISP's
(internet service provider) include
web space
free with your internet account. Be sure to ask your ISP. If you do not
have internet access, try searching I-World's directory The
List to find an ISP in your area.
If
you would
like to purchase a Domain Name I recommend DotEasy.com as they
offer free
hosting when you purchase your domain name through them.

1.
Your
webpage
design starts with YOU - your needs,
your
goals, your tastes, your expectations. You're the one who knows what
you
want the page to say, to look and feel like. That's why the first step
starts with an interview where we discuss these things, where I get to
know YOU. I have a general information form that you can fill out, and
we'll also discuss colors
for backgrounds and text, etc...
_____________________________________________________________
2.
I
need you to
provide the text that you want on
each
page - including photos, images, logos, etc.
_____________________________________________________________
3.
Based
upon your
needs and your budget, we'll
discuss
your options and the design fees. Once you decide which option works
best
for you, we will sign a written agreement outlining the terms and
estimated
cost. (One-Half of the fee will be due at this time, with the remainder
paid upon completion of the webpage.)
_____________________________________________________________
4.
Now,
your work
ends and mine begins as the
transition
from idea to webpage starts. At this point, as throughout the process,
your input is welcome and encouraged. I'll layout the text, scan images
and photos, and generally design your webpage.
_____________________________________________________________
5.
Once
I've
completed the design, I'll run the
webpage
by you to get your feed-back. After any modifications or corrections,
and
when you're happy with the finished product, I'll upload it to your ISP
- that simply means I'll transfer the webpage to the computer where
your
internet account is located. (* note: If you would like a copy of your
webpage in diskette form, I will be happy to make it available to you.)
_____________________________________________________________
6.
The
remainder of
the design fee will be due at
this time.
After receiving your payment, I will submit your website to several of
the most widely used search engines. This will allow the millions of
internet
surfers to find your webpage easily.

7.
Just to
be sure
you're satisfied with the
finished webpage,
I'll double check all of your links and images, making sure they flow
smoothly.
I'll also encourage you, sometime within the first two weeks, to check
it all out and I'll provide 3 hours free maintenence so you can request
any final changes (so you won't suddenly moan, "Oh Man!!! I knew I
forgot
something!!!")
